Faith Traditions from Around the World at Rutgers Day

Learn about world peace from a Buddhist group. Participate in a discussion on Jewish medical ethics. Or join a hymn sing-along with the Protestant Campus Ministry.

Rutgers Day will showcase the university’s diverse faith communities with events and programs organized by Catholics, evangelical Christians, Coptic Christians, Jews, Jains, mainline Protestants, and two Buddhist groups.

And with a university this diverse, there’s even an event for skeptics and non-believers. The Humanist Chaplaincy at Rutgers will hold a ‘Guess the Atheist/Humanist competition at Brower Commons on the College Avenue Campus.

You can test your knowledge about religion, with a Jeopardy-style game from the university’s Department of Religion. The department is also inviting the public to watch an Indian Kirtan performance. Those events take place on the College Avenue Campus as well.
