It’s Music to Your Ears on Rutgers Day

No matter where you are on Rutgers Day, you’ll never be far from some great musical performances. Each campus has something to offer — from dance troupes to cultural groups and musical theater to bands.

The Livingston Theatre Company comes to Rutgers Day!

The College Avenue Campus is unique in that it has two stages—the Scarlet Stage, located in the Bishop House Area, and the Big R Stage, located on the Voorhees Mall. If you’re looking for vibrant cultural performances, the Scarlet Stage is home to the Persian Cultural Club Dance Troupe and the Rutgers Asian A Capella Group (RAAG)—a group blending classical Indian elements with modern Indian/American composition.

The Big R Stage on College Avenue will hold the Rutgers University Glee Club—one of the premiere collegiate men’s choruses in the nation that is performing at Rutgers Day for the very first time. Hear songs that have been echoing on the banks of the Old Raritan for over a century, and some new favorites too. Be sure to also check out a performance from the Livingston Theatre Company as they present their season revue. Fans of The Rocky Horror Show and Legally Blonde are in for a treat.

Busch Campus’ Big R Stage is home to some amazing performances coming out of the Business School. Be sure to catch The Extreme Magic of Eric Wilzig, a magic and illusion show that brought Eric to America’s Got Talent and venues such as Caesars Atlantic City.

If you’re headed to the Cook/Douglass Big R Stage, don’t miss Rutgers Brass Band or Cabaret Theatre’s performances from their production of Spring Awakening. We’re looking forward to a great day filled with amazing talent…so don’t miss our stages this year.
