Catch the Parade at Rutgers Day

Everybody loves a parade and there will be plenty to love on Rutgers Day.

Rutgers Recreation will host the Rutgers Day parade at 11 a.m. on the College Avenue Campus. The parade, which will feature a variety of Rutgers clubs and student organizations, will start on College Avenue by Brower Commons, make its way down College Avenue through the Voorhees Mall, and finish on Hamilton Street in front of the historic Old Queens Building.

The parade is jam-packed with performances beginning with the Scarlet Knight mascot and Army ROTC Color Guard. Three floats have been designed by the Harry Potter-inspired Quidditch team,  the Go Outdoors Program, and Habitat for Humanity, an organization that dedicates time to creating affordable housing for families.

The swing dancing club and the talented students of the juggling club will be moving to the beat of the Rutgers Marching Band’s tunes. The parade finale will be held on Hamilton Street facing the Voorhees Mall.

Don’t miss your chance to witness the start of a new tradition at Rutgers Day.
