From Extreme Magic to Cockroach Races: Mix it up on Rutgers Day

Take a dip in the Rutgers Day potpourri.

Get Medieval this Rutgers Day with the Scarlet Cross Medieval Re-Enactment Society on the Cook/Douglass Campus. Come play Whack-a-Knight, a fun game where children of all ages can battle club members and experience what it was like to be part of a medieval joust. Don’t worry, your kids will have an automatic edge – the knights don’t fight back against their younger challengers.

After a visit back in time and a close encounter with creepy crawlies creatures, this might be the perfect moment to sit back and catch a magic show. Then check out the Extreme Magic of Eric Wilzig. Watch as Wilzig stuns the audience with astonishing illusions, daring stunts, and heart racing escapes. Wilzig, who has been taught by renowned magicians and has performed on America’s Got Talent, will perform on Rutgers Day on the Big “R” stage on Busch Campus.

Looking to get more hands-on, then catch a bus to the College Avenue Campus and make your very own harmonica using tongue depressors, tape, and rubber bands.
