Welcome to Rutgers Day 2013

plant sale

Come early to the Master Gardener plant sale to have your pick.of the vegetables, herbs and flowers.

Get ready for a fun-filled day of activities.

Start early today at the Master Gardener Plant Sale on the Cook/Douglass Campus where you will find unusual and popular vegetables, herbs and flowers available for purchase. Master Gardeners will be there to answer your questions and let you know about upcoming programs.

If you are on the College Avenue Campus, don’t miss the new Rutgers Day Parade starting at 11 a.m. Floats, jugglers, swing dancers and even a Quidditch team will march down College Avenue.

And if you are going to be on the Busch Campus in the afternoon, catch the Scarlet-White spring football game at 3 p.m. and help Sandy victims. Admission to the game is free for everyone, but all Rutgers fans can make a $5 donation to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. The game will also have a special finale this year: 22 sixth through eighth graders who were affected by Sandy will play during the final five minutes of the game.

We will be live blogging the highlights from the College Avenue, Cook/Douglass and Busch campuses so make sure to check back on this blog frequently throughout the day.
