Alumni Weekend and Rutgers Day, Perfect Together

Thanks to intern Renee Mathys for this guest blog post:

A lot of exciting things are happening at Alumni Weekend from April 28-30! All university locations will be taking part in this year’s revolutionary festivities as Rutgers celebrates its 250th anniversary in collaboration with Rutgers Day on Saturday, April 30. Whether you graduated from Rutgers University-New Brunswick, Rutgers University-Newark, Rutgers University-Camden, or Rutgers Biomedical Health Sciences, you will find numerous opportunities to reunite with friends and fellow alumni.

Make your way back to New Brunswick for a campus bus tour, brunch with fellow alumni, or an interfaith memorial service at Kirkpatrick Chapel. Don’t forget to bring your family and friends with you to College Avenue for the Rutgers Day Parade, where alumni and students will be showing off their scarlet pride.

If you graduated from Rutgers-Newark in 1966 or 1991, you cannot miss the pinning ceremonies for your 50th and 25th class anniversaries! Spend Saturday taking in all that Rutgers Day has to offer, including food, music, games, and more.

Head to Rutgers-Camden for its first-ever Rutgers Day! Eat your heart out at the Alumni Barbecue Lunch, or take part in historic campus tours while getting a sneak peek of the Alumni House. Be sure to join your fellow Rutgers University-Camden Alumni Association members as they end the festivities with a private party at Hank’s Preferred Grille at Second and Market.

Rutgers Biomedical Health Sciences alumni can reunite in both Newark and New Brunswick! Visit your fellow Rutgers School of Dental Medicine Alumni Association members for a reunion at NICO’s Kitchen and Bar at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a three course dinner! On Busch Campus in Piscataway, alumni from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy must be sure to visit the welcome tent for giveaways. While there, visit the School of Health Related Professions Alumni Association at their booth for more prizes and activities!

Come back home to Rutgers and reminisce with those who made your college experience unforgettable. You never know who you may run into!
