Join us for the 42nd Annual New Jersey Folk Festival on Saturday, April 30 from 10am to 6pm. The event is rain or shine and will be celebrated on the Eagleton Institute lawn of Douglass Campus. This year’s theme is Bluegrass music with live performances on our various stages. Along with folk festival tradition, the event will feature a craft marketplace, a variety of food vendors, and a bluegrass-themed, children’s activities area.

The New Jersey Folk Festival has free admission and parking. The festival’s Heritage Area features our artist in residence, Armando Sosa, a Guatemalan master weaver, in addition to embroiderers, model shipbuilders, and more.

New to the festival this year is our Seminar Tent. The Seminar Tent will commemorate Rutgers University’s 250th Anniversary with two panels. Be sure to schedule your day using our Stage Schedule located on our website under the Visitors Information tab. You won’t want to miss your favorite bluegrass bands, the singer-songwriter competition, or pie eating contest.

For more information about the festival, please visit our website. You can also like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates. We look forward to seeing new and returning faces!
